WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has decided to walk away from what it once touted as key deadlines in the Afghanistan war in an effort to de-emphasize the president's pledge that he would begin withdrawing U.S. forces in July 2011, administration and military officials said Tuesday.
Endless wars have become the norm in the US. For some reason, this isn't going to change. What makes it particularly effective is that nobody cares. There are no more "war protest" marches and such. Nobody gives a fuck.
It's not going to happen, but if I ruled the nation, a draft would be implemented forcing every 20 year old into one of the branches of the military regardless if they're married, have kids, in college, whatever. Draft them all. Send them to get shot at or blown up.. and maybe people might notice that there really is a war on.
Remember that these wars are being waged in order to "keep us safe".
No.. really.

Maybe you could draft Jason Garret while you're at it...
