The US Senate is full of very old, very stupid, white guys. I don't have anything in particular against old white guys.. except the ones in the Senate are very very stupid... and that includes members of both parties.
Sen. Chuck Grassley is on the teevee, lying about Canadian health care.. and lying about how the judicial branch of the government works.
Well.. "lying" is a strong word. He's just stupid.
Would be nice to completely clear out the Senate and start over. I'll add it to my wish list.. along with the 911 Turbo.. :)
...
Speaking of cars.. I've been playing a new car racing game and it's just fun as fuck. It can be maddening at times, but I think I missed my calling. Yep.. being good in a game means one would be good at the real thing..

What game you playing? I've been trying to get a game that my Girlfriend would like to play and she said she likes racing games, so I'm in the market. :)
It's called Grid. It's kind of a hybrid sim.. no car setups and such, but the driving model is sim-like. It's certainly not an easy game.
Get her GTA.. probably a bit more entertaining.. :)
tis a good game. i like the Le Man events. rocking around there in the dark in the Audi R10TDi is a hoot.
and things get so much better when you can afford a top end team mate and consequently use the sponsors that pay based on finish position.
I've got a couple pro licenses now, and a skilled teammate that's almost always in the top 5.. and about 15 mil in the bank so far.
I've driven the Audi in race day at Le Mans.. and it's just so fast that the race becomes almost trivial.
What really bugs me about the game is that the grid world events are only 3 laps and you almost always start at the back. You have to be ridiculously agressive to get to the front because you don't have time to work safe passing.
The game can be maddening, but it's also addictive as fuck. My hands are killing me.. lol
i guess you're playing on ps3? so i don't know about the comparable trophies.. but the most elusive achievement on 360 is to win a clean race with no car contact in a grid world event on pro setting.
not in this lifetime. not when they always put you at the rear to start the race. even if you had to qualify to earn pole that would be acceptable.
if you love GRID and don't mind offroad, i highly recommend Colin Macrae Dirt. same developers. there is some degree of setup tweaking for the enthusiast, but you can also play a full career very happily with default car settings, and like GRID the racing component is sim-like without being infuriating.
Do cars get damaged? or is this one of those indestructible car games?
I'm playing it on the PC.
The cars can be damaged, but it takes a pretty serious hit. Mostly the annoying thing you'll get is a cracked wind screen, which makes seeing out the front difficult. I just restart the race if that happens. Some cars seem to be much more sensitive to that than others.
I really don't understand why they don't have longer races in career mode.
I have GTR2, which is a full on sim.. and it's not very fun.
Oh.. and using the Logitech G25 wheel. It's really an impressive controller, and the force effects are crazy good.
I did pick this game up via amazon, it arrived while I was on vacation. Hopefully I'll get a chance to play it one of these days. :)
