Boom

Terrible news about the bombing in India.. but am I the only one that finds this bizarrely retarded?

NEW YORK - New York City increased its transit security Tuesday, sending hundreds of additional officers to patrol subways and conduct random bag searches following deadly bombings on a busy commuter rail system in India.

The New York Police Department said the measures were precautionary and there had been no specific threat to New York.

"We take a terror attack in any place in the world, especially one on a public transport system, as a serious warning," Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.
The bombers struck already.. it's over.. Why the fuck would they want to blow up something in NY now, when there is extra security? Wouldn't they wait a week for it to all die down? Wouldn't they do it before the extra security? If there is a chance there could be a bombing at any time, shouldn't they have extra security all the time, and not just after a bomb went off half way around the world?

Why don't they make 11 the top number, and then make that one a little louder?

As Nigel Tufnel says.. "this one goes to 11".

There seems to be this notion from many on the right that terrorists are really stupid. That the bombing in Bombay was totally successful would lead one to think that merely putting more cops on the street is useless... but they do it anyway.

Why? Because the important thing here for politicians is that they be seen as if they are "doing something", because if something goes wrong, and they weren't trying to "do something" about it, then their career would be over.. even if there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop terrorism (and there isn't), it's critical to make people think there is, otherwise they'd hide under their beds night and day.

Here's a clue you stupid fucks.. when the shit hits the fan, there really was nothing anybody could do about it in the first place.. unless you change the reasons why the shit hits the fan.

Holy fuck, is that so hard to figure out?
