It's official

The world is up-side-down, and the craziness is as evident as the blazing sun in a Phoenix summer.

I document, every single day (excepting some weekends), the travesty of the right wing that is destroying not only the lives of individual human beings, but the great American society as a whole. How that could even be debatable is nothing but irrational lunacy, subconsciously formulated as a defense mechanism to prevent self-identity implosion.

And for every entry I make to document the tragedies, there are a 100 more that I don't post.

One of the classic tactics of the right wing that we see over and over is to personally attack anyone that has any criticism of the Bush administration or the Republican party. Quite simply - criticism is not allowed.

You see it time and again. Even our favorite freeper does it over and over, because he is nothing but a lemming that parrots the words and attitudes of those he worships. They will not address the SUBSTANCE of the criticism, they merely attack the person who levels the criticism (see Joe Wilson, Paul Hackett, et. all). That is not the American way - but then they are not of the American ideology.

Who is the latest target of the fascists? Cindy Sheehan.

Bill O'Lielly said "I think Mrs. Sheehan bears some responsibility for this [publicity] and also for the responsibility for the other American families who lost sons and daughters in Iraq who feel this kind of behavior borders on treasonous."

Michelle Malkin said "I can't imagine that Casey Sheehan would approve of such behavior."

So there we have O'Reilly calling the mother of a dead soldier a traitor. We also have that insane bitch Malkin speaking for that mother's dead son! How the fuck would she know what Casey Sheehan would or would not approve of? I'd hazard a guess that Casey wouldn't approve of being killed in combat....

What the fuck is wrong with these people? If I was a member of the Sheehan family, I'd beat that coward O'Reilly to a bloody fucking pulp, and I haven't been in a real fight since high school.. God that pisses me off...

But wait, there's more...

If you want to read a very sad story about yet another dead soldier, go here:

He was just two weeks away from finishing up his six-year stint in the Guard when he was told that his tour of duty was being extended and that he would serve in Iraq for at least a year, maybe longer. The news could not have come at a worse time for Pellegrini. He was training for his first pro fight, newly engaged to be married, and settling into his job as a Philadelphia police officer, just like his dad.
So there is no draft, eh? He had no choice but to go, and he ended up dead, and for what? To be counted as just another casualty in yet another war?

If this soldiers family dares criticize those asshole Republicans, what will they do? They will dig up some shit on the family and start smearing them. That's how they repay those that make the ultimate sacrifice.

This isn't some sort of game. People are dying every single day. Every single day they should have news reports lead with the latest casualty count and show pictures of the blood soaked bodies. It's like the American public doesn't even know there is a war on. They need to see it, as real as it is.

There have been American wars before - and everyone knew the price had to be paid. Everyone knew the reason they fought. Not anymore..

The latest victim of George Bush, Gennaro Pellegrini, Jr

** update **

One day a nurse came in to ask Rodgers if he wanted to meet President Bush, who was visiting the hospital. Rodgers declined.

"I don't want anything to do with him," he explains. "My belief is that his ego is getting people killed and mutilated for no reason -- just his ego and his reputation. If we really wanted to, we could pull out of Iraq. Maybe not completely but enough that we wouldn't be losing people -- at least not at this rate. So I think he himself is responsible for quite a few American deaths."

Bill Swisher, a spokesman for Walter Reed, says it's "fairly common" for patients to decline to see visitors. "We've had visitors from Sheryl Crow to Hulk Hogan," he says, but he has no idea how many have refused to see Bush, who has visited the hospital eight times.

Rodgers says he also declined to meet Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Condoleezza Rice. This wounded soldier has lost faith in his leaders, and he no longer believes their repeated assurances of victory.
This soldier had been severely wounded by an IED. If he recieved any sort of publicity for his point of view, the Republicans would visciously attack him, call him a traitor, anti-American, and so on..

** update 2 **

So how does the Department of Defense address these issues? They have a "Freedom March". I shit you not, web site here:

The Pentagon would hold a massive march and country music concert to mark the fourth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said in an announcement tucked into an Iraq war briefing today.

Where will you be this September 11th?

The tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, left an indelible mark on the American consciousness. This September 11th, the nation will gather in Washington, D.C. to remember the victims, honor our veterans, past and present, and celebrate our freedom with the America Supports You Freedom Walk, organized by the Department of Defense. Click here for details.
Country music. Red, white, and blue ribbons. Lots of flags.. It probably won't include that young soldier that is blind in one eye and had the lower half of one leg blown off.

With the support for the war flagging, what do the Republicans do? They stage a rally. The trot out 9/11 as if that singular event excuses every horror they have ever, and will ever, visit on humanity.

Here's my idea. Take every single person that shows up at that rally, put them in fatigues, and ship them over to Iraq. But then, I suggested they do that for the people that voted for Jean Schmidt, and that didn't seem to happen.

Oh.. and let me make a list of the right wing freaks they can round up and ship off to Iraq as well. Start with everyone at Fox news, and those beer guzzling fuckers from the Young Republicans..
