Barney Frank

It's difficult for me not to have the T.V. on at all hours watching the coverage of the Schiavo situation. I'm still a little bewildered about the way the media is covering this, but it's exposing everyone. They can't hide their point of view.

Larry King Live - Okay.. Larry is an idiot. But.. you can watch the show, and ignore Larry and listen to the guests. One thing that I notice in listening to the guests is that Barney Frank is incredibly well spoken and articulate. His arguments are logically based and rational. I have some familiarity with him, and I understand his politics very well, but holy shit can that man debate.

I'm serious.. Frank is beating down both the left and the right as they try and politicize the issue. On the left, they reference polls showing Bush's approval ratings drop. On the right, Weldon is railing about the relevance of that. Frank is bringing an incredible focus on the issue without all the bat-shit-crazy insanity. It's like 10 people going absolutely insane on the left and right and Frank is the only one talking about the critical issues.

Further on in the show... Holy Cow.. Frank is just beating down Pat Boone, who is talking about King Solomon of all things, as well as the other wingers, with his logical arguments. It's nearly embarrassing. Boone is on CNN looking like he just got spanked by a parent and he's stammering for what to say.

Thank you CNN for having Barney Frank on the show. You could smell the humiliation as he just beat the shit out of their logic. It's brilliant. Wow.

By the way.. Barney Frank is one of the few openly gay members of Congress. One of the positive points is that his sexual orientation was never mentioned during the coverage. He is just a Congressman talking about the issue. He just totally embarrassed the other commentators, congressman and religious leader alike.
