Quote of the day

I advocate the use of force to rescue Terri Schiavo from being starved to death.
I further advocate the killing of anyone who interferes with such rescue. -- Hal Turner (former Republican congressional candidate, party chair, and Buchanan for President organizer)
A couple of interesting things posted over at AmericaBlog. First, apparently there was nearly a confrontation between the Florida authorities directed by Jeb Bush, and the local law enforcement which was directed to enforce court orders.

Also.. Aravosis is asking a question that we really need to ask. Actually.. I have been asking this question for a while.

Jesus. Michael is about to post some absolutely shocking news, at least I think so. When is the media going to do the real story here, namely, that 18% of the population is trying to stage a coup overthrowing the rule of law in this country for their own partisan, religious, extremist agenda? These people are a danger to our democracy. And anyone who thinks it's not time to start talking about the early years of the development of fascism in Europe is deluding themselves.
All I can say at this point is that I hope this ends soon so we can get back to our usual batch of political and religious horrors that have nothing to do with the sad end to a tragic life.
