Doctor Doctor

I still have some ringing, mostly in my left ear, but the generally crappy feeling I usually have (malaise) is pretty much gone, and I don't feel totally exhausted - for which I usually go take an afternoon nap.

I saw the neurologist today.  It went fairly well, though he did tell me that in the medical community, it is generally accepted that tinnitus is not something that can be "cured".  He says that he doesn't quite follow that conclusion and wants to help me if not cure it, than reduce the impact as much as possible.

He's going to set me up with a test for adrenal insufficiency.  It's not a very good condition to have, since it's one of those conditions that is likely permanent, but at least there is a treatment for it that can alleviate the symptoms.  If it comes up negative, well.. at least that can be checked off the list of possible causes.

He's also going to talk to my PCP about a possible MRSA infection.  About 60% of the population carries that bacteria.  It might be worth nuking the all the bacteria out of my body and starting over.  John recently had that done because he had an active MRSA infection.

Anyway.. I hope this feeling better thing sticks, but I'm pessimistic about it. The brain zaps are easing up as well.

I also asked him about the possibility that I might have leukemia, and he says it would have shown up in the testing that they've already done.. so that's good news anyway.

It's been almost exactly 1 year since this first started.  I consider it a lost and wasted year, and it's not like we get a whole bunch of them in the first place.  To lose one is very shitty.  Yes, some people have it worse, but that doesn't mean that being a virtual zombie for an entire year is trivial either.

... I also removed the docs name from the post I wrote last week.  I was rather pissed off when I wrote it, but as of now, it's really not fair to have his name show up in a google search that points to that post.  Still, it's not like that's a terribly unique name.

I've been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.

Not sure if serious.

Most of the time, comments like that come attached with links to ordering dick hardening pills.

meh.. probably just testing for moderation before starting the spam.

Just something you might look into...

That has nothing to do with my situation.
