Most IT "help desk" Nerd Herders are complete jackasses. They stick "MCSE" after their name on an e-mail signature as if they've just passed the fucking medical boards for an MD.
And no matter what your job is, they assume they are superior in IT skills and intellect. Combine that with a generally condescending personality, and you have a group that is singularly the most irritating on the planet.
They are IT geeks exactly because they're not smart enough to join the engineering group. It's about god damn time somebody explain that to them.
