Destroy the Future

Fun with math;

A national survey of school districts in June by the Center on Education Policy estimated that 48 percent of them cut teaching jobs last school year. The survey found 84 percent of districts are bracing for additional funding cuts this year.

A survey in May of more than 1,000 school superintendents across the country by the American Association of School Administrators found that 74 percent anticipate having to cut jobs this year, with the majority of those being teachers or teacher aides. An association survey of 692 school administrators found that 48 percent laid off employees last year.

This is good news, of course. The dumbing down of America ensures that I'll be employed as long as I want to, with a better-than-average increase in salary. If you care about the long term viability of America - it's not such good news.

The best part, as always, are the comments;

WHAT ??? ME TEACH ??? I BELONG TO THE UNION.........I'LL PUT IN MY DAY AND THE KIDS CAN GET IT OR LEAVE IT..........I NEED ANOTHER RAISE........AND MORE DAYS OFF.........AND A BIGGER PENSION..........AND LESS RESPONSBILITY................CAN YOU BELIEVE IT........THEY EXPECT ME TO DO MY JOB..........WHAT NERVE !!!

The Loon Brigade thinks the problem is teacher's unions. If only the teachers would get college degrees, and then go work for $30k a year, then everything would be fine.

It seriously is funny how much the tea bagging loons really hate school teachers.. and completely despise university professors. They hate anything that has to do with increasing knowledge and skills, that is not directly associated with Jebus.

The reason, of course, is envy. What do you think "Mavis" does for a living? What kind of standard of living do you think she has?

Failures in life always point the finger at other people to make themselves feel better. Doug Gibbs drives a truck for a living - and while that job (it's not a profession) is noble enough in it's own way (I need shit I buy online delivered you know), it's not something people aspire to. It's not the fulfillment of a dream. It's not something that a person with capabilities does.

That's why they hate everything and everyone that isn't a dumb religious kook.

....

Americans prefer to buy freedom bombs and rain death and destruction down on brown people rather than invest in our own future. This is why I applaud the increasing income inequity. Americans act as if they are passive passengers on this fail-train, rather than the conductors. If they choose to make the wrong decisions, and would rather be passive while this happens, then fine. They've made that choice.
