Quote of the Day

We’re seriously talking about defaulting on our debt, and cutting Medicare and Social Security, so that Google can keep paying its current 2.4 percent effective tax rate and GE, a company that received a $140 billion bailout en route to worldwide 2010 profits of $14 billion, can not only keep paying no taxes at all , but receive a $3.2 billion tax credit from the federal government. And nobody appears to give a shit. What the hell is wrong with people? Have we all lost our minds? - Matt Taibbi

Taibbi appears upset that American corporations hide money over seas until they can get Congress and the President to allow them to bring it back virtually tax free.

The really funny thing is.. the corporations and the tea baggers claim that the corporations can hire more people with the money, as opposed to giving it to executives who can then get lots of cocaine and hookers.

Most people in America are too stupid to realize that corporations hire and fire to meet demand, not because they happen to have extra cash on hand.

I'm kind of leaning towards just ending all income taxes and just stop everything federal. Get rid of the military and all that. Let grandma die alone in the park.

Once you give the evil bastards everything they want, there's nothing else to fight over. Elections would be meaningless because there's nothing left to govern, and there's no reason for the corporations to buy politicians.

I think that would be the way to go.
