Loonville, USA

hahahahhahahah

Texas lawmakers voted against parental approval for corporal punishment Wednesday, allowing schools to spank students with or without parents' say.

Rep. Alma Allen, D-Houston, said she personally doesn't believe in corporal punishment and noted that it's no longer practiced in the state's largest school districts, but said she wasn't trying to end the practice.

"This is a parental rights bill," Allen said. "I do not like corporal punishment, but this bill does not abolish it."

An amendment from Todd Smith, R-Euless, would have allowed parents to give approval just once instead of requiring contact every time their children act up.

Conservatives, however, rallied against giving parents the final say over educators.

Beating children for Jesus. Awesome. The best part, of course, is that the school doesn't have to ask the parent.. because, you know, the Libtards aren't going to want their kids beat.. so better to not have to ask first.

I can't imagine how a person could hit a kid. Again - it's that bleeding heart Liberal thing I'm cursed with. I'd be more interested in finding out what caused the kid to act up rather than just taking a paddle and hitting him/her with it and calling it a day.

I nearly got paddled in the 4th grade. I got in a scuffle with a black kid on the playground. I'm pretty sure there were only 2 or 3 black kids in the school, but I wasn't pissed off because he was black. I don't really remember why. I do remember getting hauled off to the principle's office and threatened with an ass beating if we didn't behave. We did after that.

Sometimes a kid will get in a fight for a righteous reason, and sometimes you just have to defend yourself or somebody else. These things should be really rare, and they should result in nothing more than a bloody nose or a black eye. If the whole community raises their kids right, you might get that from time to time, but you shouldn't get knives or guns. That's a complete breakdown of the society.

I'm still giggling that Texas legislators big concern is that teachers be able to beat kids without asking the parents. They normally dump as much abuse on teachers as possible, and are actively trying to get as much Jebus into the classroom as possible.

But if I had a kid, which, you know, I don't... but if I did and he came home after getting some swats - I'd be dialing an attorney's office... and I'd be contacting the local news to get some face time on local teevee to decry the barbarism of the conservative jesus freaks.

Something along the lines of; "I'm a Christian and I just can't picture in my head Jesus beating a child. I worship the hippie Jesus that frolicks with lambs and not child abuse Jesus."

That would be fun.
