LOS ANGELES – President Barack Obama said Thursday that the Justice Department will try to "root out" cases of fraud or manipulation in oil markets, even as Attorney General Eric Holder suggested a variety of legal reasons may be behind gasoline's surge to $4 a gallon.
So.. umm.. he unilaterally decides to start bombing an oil producing nation and then is going to "root out" issues related to rising gas prices?
Really?
Somebody must have told him that high gas prices will hurt his re-election chances and so he needs to appear to be "doing something" about it.
I like skyrocketing gas prices. I don't use much at all. John does, but it's a business expense. The really amusing part is that projects to increase mass transit get tea bagged, and that's really the only thing that would help.
But since we're all about relative wealth, very high gas prices make other people relatively poorer, so that's a good thing for us.
