So Much For That

WASHINGTON – A chastened President Barack Obama signaled a new willingness to yield to Republican demands on tax cuts and jettisoned a key energy priority on Wednesday, less than 24 hours after he and fellow Democrats absorbed election losses so severe he called them a shellacking.

Of course, now Obama got his wish.. an excuse. Liberals can't blame him for sucking anymore, because hey.. it's not his fault the Republicans control the House.. right?

It's weird the way the narratives work. Last year, the vast majority of Americans didn't pay any income tax at all. Now, they want to extend the Bush tax cuts for wealthy Americans.. and that's going to require new legislation. The Senate could just not pass the bill, and that would be that.. but because our politicians are owned by the wealthy, they'll pass a new bill.. maybe even making the tax cuts permanent.. all the while spending us into oblivion..

and by "us".. I mean everyone else... not us.
