Took about 40 minutes, but it's back in flying condition. I had to tweak one of the struts because the anchor was not quite in the right spot on the wing, but other than that, it was easy. I tested the motor up to full power and it seems to be working great. Not bad for essentially a high speed nose dive into the ground.
Maybe take it to the park tomorrow depending on the wind. This time we'll get some good flights in and safe landings. Might even put a deposit down on the P47 pre-order.
I wonder how belly landings work.. in the sense that you shut the motor off before it touches the ground, but you can't tell where the prop is going to end up. It might be verticle and cause the plane to flip when it digs into the ground. Maybe you flare it up a little bit just before it touches the ground and have the tail drag first.
