I read something recently that said that when news organizations poll the "birthers", you'll get a high percentage of views that support anything, as long as it's worded as critical of the person they oppose.
So.. if you polled "Is President Obama a Werewolf?", some 25% would say yes.
The point being that a surprisingly high percentage of Americans are bat-shit insane... which, of course, is good and bad. We do have to compete for resources in this country, and being surrounded by idiots makes things easier for the rest of us that have not been infected by the stupid.
