During the Nine Inch Nails (think about the name) tour, they recorded 3 shows in high definition video and audio. Trent Reznor was planning to produce a commercial DVD of the show. The deal with the producers fell through.. the deal was dead.
Trent released all the audio and video to the internet.. free.. no licensing.. not rules.. nothing.. a huge pile of digital awesome of untold gigabytes that you can simply have if you want. Some people are taking it and making it into bigger awesome.
That is the tour that John and I went to Las Vegas to see.. and it was amazing.. and here Trent is, giving it all away for free for anyone to do with what they want.
