If we deny God His rightful place in the affairs of this nation should we expect Him to intervene when we need protection? Just what do you think has kept us safe from terrorist attacks since 9/11? It certainly wasn't the atheists. - Charlie DanielsNow we know who dropped the ball on Sept. 11, 2001.
I'm still perplexed that people still think that way.. as if the United States is the magical chosen land of God and Jesus.. and they watch over us, and shoe away the terraists and bad things.
Every time some Loon ascribes some act to God, the inevitable questions come in the form, "well, why hasn't he done... " and you can list things that apparently God does NOT want to do.. or is too busy flicking away the terraists to do.
But.. but.. God wants us to do for ourselves, so he doesn't fix every problem! Or something.
I was watching a movie called Burn After Reading last night.. and a number of the characters were quite dim. I stopped the playback and said to John, "people can't really be that stupid".. and of course, he said they often are.
I'm very selective in the people I'm around. I work with nothing but engineers.. I associate only with open minded Liberal types with solid educations and professions. After a while, you start to think that most people are like these people. I guess they aren't.
I guess most of the world is really dim.. like Charlie Daniels.. It's rather scary if one of them actually gets a job with some power.
Oh wait..
