I'd forgotten about the "Burning in Hell" feature at the blog. Doug has a fantastic post about Christmas and the history of Jesus, that reminded me of it.
Joseph Brodsky (May 24, 1940 — January 28, 1996), born Iosif Aleksandrovich Brodsky (Russian: Иосиф Александрович Бродский) was a Russian poet and essayist who won the 1987 Nobel Prize in Literature and was Poet Laureate of the United States from 1991 to 1992.Being a Jewwie Jew, he's burning in the "Lake of Fire" right now.. cast down by God for violating "the only unpardonable sin".
If you like to /snicker at the most absurd of Christian freakiness.. then have a read. Be warned.. it'll make you feel like you're a useless pile of shit, and the only hope you have is to get down with the invisible and unseen force that is apparently ignorning you right now.
I left a comment, but somehow I doubt it'll get posted;
You forgot the best part of the "penalty for the rejection of Christ".. Everyone can use it during the Christmas shopping..
That is.. telling everyone who is not Christian that they are going to burn in hell! It's awesome and fun for the whole family!
See a Jew standing in line at the Wal-Mart? Simply point and accuse him of being a Christ killer that will burn in hell.
Awesome!
Oh.. and I'm sure you're aware that Christmas is simply the Christian hijacking of the annual Pagan mid-winter holiday.. but whatever.. the burning in hell thing is so much better.
