I have often proclaimed that the most oppressed group of late in the United States seems to be the White, Christian male. But, the danger of what we see is deeper than that.Greenwald
There is no better phrase to describe the animating feature of the modern Limbaugh/Kristol/Fox News conservative faction than "threatened tribalism." The belief that they are good and pure, yet subjected to unprecedented systematic unfairness and threatened by some lurking Evil Other against whom war must be waged (the Muslim, the Immigrant, the Terrorist, the Communist, the Liberal, the Welfare Queen) is the centerpiece of their ugly worldview.Greenwald calls it "ugly".. I call it in-fucking-sane.
I noticed this comment from Doug on his post;
I used to work for a city, and being around the "politics" was enough to convince me that I do not want to be in that mix. However, I will always be "involved" in politics. I have debated politics since before I met my wife, and plan to continue until I simply cannot. Hopefully, eventually it will be on a larger stage, but my current platform is fine for now.Bahahaha.. hahahhaha
No really.. hahahahaha
hahah
I live for the day that Doug runs for some political office.. I have amased a treasure of crazy shit he's written the past couple years.
A 'larger stage'??!
