ALBANY - Gov. Eliot Spitzer has informed his most senior administration officials that he had been involved in a prostitution ring, an administration official said this morning.

Mr. Spitzer, a first term Democrat who pledged to bring ethics reform an end the often seamy ways of Albany, is married with three children.

As attorney general, he also had prosecuted at least two prostitution rings as head of the state’s organized crime task force.

In one such case in 2004, Mr. Spitzer spoke with revulsion and anger after announcing the arrest of 16 people for operating a high-end prostitution ring out of Staten Island.

“”This was a sophisticated and lucrative operation with a multitiered management structure,” Mr. Spitzer said at the time. ”It was, however, nothing more than a prostitution ring.”

I really hate hypocrisy.. regardless where it comes from. At it's core, there is dishonesty... and beside that, it's incredibly stupid. How the fuck does somebody think they can be the governor of New York, and not get caught when hiring hookers?

I've written about this before.. this weird sexual hangup so many people seem to have. It's really stupid.

Here's how he should have handled it..

Instead of hiring a hooker, he should have gone to his wife.. and told her he wanted to fuck other women.. maybe with his wife.. or "swinging".. as they call it. If she freaked, divorce her and find somebody who's into that... because the honest truth of the matter is, the vast majority of guys are going to do it regardless.

Even better, if he was honest with himself in understanding the way he is, he should tell his potential wife about it before getting married... so they're all on the same page from the get go.

The sin here isn't wanting to have sex with somebody else. The vast majority of men, and I suspect women too, are like that. It's just biology. The sin is being a hypocritical asshole.

Give society the middle finger, and be the way you want to be.. whatever that is..
