Doug is a Shitty Writer, Part XXIV

Douggie is bemoaning the ass kicking that the Republican party is in the midst of... and in the process, butchers the language a bit more.

Conservatives recognize that competition is good for an economy, and that the natural bi-product of success is failure.
Products are not like sexual orientations.. i.e., they can't be "bi". It's "byproduct", moron. In addition, this sentence makes no sense at all.

The natural byproduct of success is failure.

Uh.. what? LOL

And one other suggestion. I have a tendency to use the word "really" way too often. I have to edit my posts and check for it. Doug likes to start his sentences with the word "Now". Just remove it. It's unnecessary.

Doug's post compares and contrasts liberals and conservatives, and in the process you see him divorcing "conservative" from the Republican party. I wrote a few years ago that the disaster of the Bush administration would lead to just such a disowning. But, you don't get to do that. You made it. You own it. It's an inexorable tie.

The funny part is, of course, that the Bushies used the fundis for political gain, and kicked them to the curb. Abortion is still legal. Homos can marry, and get civil unions in more states. We still have porn, and naughty language in music. Evolution is still considered scientifically valid.

The fundamentalist freaks have gained nothing but the reputation for being completely in-fucking-sane.

Doug screeches, over and over, about "personal responsibility", as if liberals do not believe that individuals should be responsible. It's pretty silly. Of course we believe people should be responsible. However, we also feel empathy and compassion for the less fortunate.

It's ironic that liberals are far more "Christian" than the fundi Christian freaks. We just don't have to chalk it up to an all powerful god, sitting on a cloud watching us.

Conservatives do not believe that it is the government's responsibility to hand out freebies to those that have not succeeded and are currently in a state of poverty at the expense of our hard earned tax dollars, whether we like it or not, because those receiving such aid will become dependent upon such assistance.
That's simply vile, and I'd remind everyone.. again.. that Doug's own son, who apparently is irresponsible and a failure, received medical care, paid for by tax dollars.

Has he repaid the state yet Doug? Have you paid the bill yourself, seeing as you're such a responsible parent?

No? I thought not.. because you're a hypocritical asshole. Still, you look at the conservative viewpoint about "freebies" and you have to wonder, who fucking stole their lollipop when they were a child?

Doug goes further and makes the irrational assumption that everyone who ever receives public assistance will forever become "dependent" on it, and presumably will never "work" for a living. What a vile thing to say about fellow human beings. That's the difference between believing in humanity, and being a petty and hateful elitest jerk.

Is there abuse in welfare? Sure, and there are investigators whose job it is to sort that out. However, the majority of people just need some help to survive, and I have no problem with some of my tax dollars going to that effort.

Doug, at his core, is a Darwinist.. which of course is an incredible contradiction when you consider that he actually believes (and I still can't get over this) that mankind dates back about 6000 years. He believes that people in poverty are there because of their own lack of work ethic. He thinks the poor are lazy. He thinks they deserve exactly what they get. He believes that not only will the meek not inherit the earth, but they deserve disdain for not living up to what he considers the American ideal.

Just read his post.. it's absolutely dripping with a hatred for all of those not as strong of character as he thinks he is.

Hey asshole.. I may not believe in your made up God.. but I sure as hell pray that karma fucking works.

Finally.. learn to fucking paragraph, Mister Good Writer. Jesus Christ.. look at your post, at the massive paragraph in the middle. You wonder why your book got rejected? For fucks sake, that's basic writing mechanics you fucking moron.

And people wonder why I have this fixation on Doug. I swear to God he is the best example of the most bat-shit crazy ideology I think I've ever seen.

Actlly, the "byproduct of success is failure" thing makes perfect sense, especially in a Darwinian view of the economy.

In order for one company to succeeed, generally another company has to fail. Blu Ray vs HDDVD, Mac vs PC.

Very poorly worded, but if that's what he was talking about than it was correct, at least in my estimation.

Maybe that is what he meant (who can know?).. but it's not always the rule.

The analogy that popped into my head is Microsoft and Apple. MS is arguably one of the most wildly sucessful companies in the world, and Apple has done pretty well since Steve Jobs came back. Both companies make money. Same goes for Intel and AMD.

Uh.. and the "big 3" automakers did fine against each other.. at least until foreign cars hit the market in force.

Reading Doug's rambling again.. it occurs to me that he's implying that liberals don't like "economic competition" for some reason.. but I suppose that goes back to his psychosis that liberals are, by definition, socialists.

I happen to think social security and medi-care are good things.. and they are not socialist per se.

Doug really will feel much better in the opposition. The Neofundis are obviously horrid at governance, but they can get a President impeached for a blow job.
