Primaries

The results in Iowa are amusing.

Dems:

Senator Barack Obama : 36.68%
Senator John Edwards : 30.24%
Senator Hillary Clinton : 29.99%
Governor Bill Richardson : 2.01%
Senator Joe Biden : 0.94%
Uncommitted : 0.11%
Senator Chris Dodd : 0.03%
Precincts Reporting: 1487 of 1781
(Percentages are State Delegate Equivalents.)

Republicans:

Huckabee 34%
Romney 25%
Thompson 14%
McCain 13%
Paul 10%
Giuliani 4%
God I hope Huckabee is the nominee. He's straight up bat-shit crazy Christian freak.. and while he might be a nice personable guy, he makes the Republican establishment insane. He also snubbed Rush Limbaugh and doesn't blow the media whores. The Republicans really can't stand him because they're trying to avoid being seen as the Christian freak party. Tough shit. Bush and Rove used and abused the Christians, and now that's the legacy they're left with.

Pat "Fags caused 9/11" Robertson endorsed fucking Rudi Giuliani for god's sake! He didn't endorse Huckabee, the former minister, nor endorse the Mormon. The Republicans are in complete disarray, and it's just fantastic to watch.

Let's all pray to the God of our choice that Huckabee wins the nomination. With his own party establishment hating him, not to mention the terrific ads that will come from his past statements of lunacy, it will a historic crushing.

McCain came in 4th, and all the talking heads are calling it great news for McCain's candidacy. The teevee is talking about McCain over and over. The establishment is desperate to at least have a non-crazy, non-cult following candidate, that they would be happy to throw McCain up there as a reasonable candidate. He'll still lose, and everyone knows that, but at least it will minimize the "crazy" factor that is being associated with the Republican party now.

A 46 year old Obama would absolutely crush the 71 year old McCain. It's unfortunate that Americans are so ageist, but that's the way it is.

On the Democratic side, I'm a bit conflicted. I like all the candidates, but was kind of hoping Clinton could pull it off, for no other reason that it would make the right wing loons go absolutely ape-shit. That and I like her husband. Still, I'd be very pleased if Edwards wins. I think out of all the candidates, he'd do the best. Obama is paying far too much lip service to the "centrist" idea. Fuck that. We need a committed liberal to fix this fucking mess the conservative assholes have created.

However, Obama would piss off enough Republicans that I could enjoy it. Most of the "conservative" states are still filled with a lot of racist assholes, and it would be pretty neat to watch them flip out that a black man is President. Race aside, Obama would likely carry himself in a very Presidential way, the complete opposite of the fucking monkey we have now. I'm just not sure about his policies, especially health care.

The teevee is currently doing a story on the "Obama girl". Can somebody just fire them all?

Oh.. and Britney flipped out again.. LOL

/update

Jesus Fucking Christ, it must be a MSM conspiracy to prop up McCain. Check it out..

John McCain took home a modest fourth place finish in the Iowa caucuses, garnering 13% of the Republican vote. But he may be as big a winner as Mike Huckabee. Huckabee's knockout of Mitt Romney in the caucuses was exactly what the McCain campaign, which spent little time or money in Iowa, needed from the state.
It's so funny that McCain finishing in 4th behind Thompson is great and stupendous news, but Clinton finishing a close 3rd is "devastating".

By the way.. Clinton's 3rd place finish included twice as many votes as Huckabee had as the Republican winner. The turnout for the Democrats was far larger than the Republicans.

It's going to be so funny to see the media establishment and the right wing loon brigade completely flip out when it's an all Democratic government. Americans are far more liberal than most want to admit. Still, the MSM will suddenly discover their adversarial role that they lost 7 years ago. That's okay, as long as liberals set the policies.

The Loon Brigade is actually going to enjoy it I think. They're much better at finger pointing and hatred of liberals than they are at governing. They really have no ideas, but they're really good at nit picking and crying like little bitches. They seem to enjoy it.
