I've always been a big fan of stylized hardcore music, also known as nu metal. Mindless riffing and monotone death grunt vocals don't do anything for me, but a solid groove with unique vocalization is very cool in my opinion.
Soulfly is the spin-off of Sepultura, when Max Cavalera left the band in a spat with his drummer brother Igor. Now, 10 years later, Igor has left Sepultura to join up with Max in Soulfly and a new album is in the works. I'm looking forward to it.
Music like this makes people go ape-shit.. as you might well imagine. It's pure sonic testosterone.
