The Red Hot Chili Peppers..
It's quite beautiful, and a really good representation of unabashed liberalism. The band members are quite vocally liberal, and Flea, in particular, has been outspoken about his views of the war.
It is no coincidence that the arts around the world are dominated by liberals. It takes a great degree of creativity and open minded thinking to create world-class art. Those are the traits of liberals.
The Chili Peppers have captured the feeling of a generation. Their music epitomizes coastal liberalism, and the freedoms and joy in living free and together with family and friends. This freedom in individuality is what America is all about.
And who knew that Will Farrel is their drummer? LOL
What have the conservatives given us? Some really bad country music, Hee Haw, and the Grand Ol' Opery?
In fact, the world in general is trending liberal. Look at Europe.. Look at Canada. The most dangerous places in the world are religiously conservative. The war for the American soul is divided along similar lines. Fortunately, we've had a wonderful example of religiously dominated conservative governance.. and Americans hate it.
The future looks bright;
A Democracy Corps poll from the Washington firm of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner suggests voters ages 18 to 29 have undergone a striking political evolution in recent years.And Doug's Loon Brigade calls me an "extremist".
Young Americans have become so profoundly alienated from Republican ideals on issues including the war in Iraq, global warming, same-sex marriage and illegal immigration that their defections suggest a political setback that could haunt Republicans "for many generations to come," the poll said.
The startling collapse of GOP support among young voters is reflected in the poll's findings that show two-thirds of young voters surveyed believe Democrats do a better job than Republicans of representing their views - even on issues Republicans once owned, such as terrorism and taxes.
You know.. you have to be in the minority to be "extreme".
/update
I changed the song on the side bar to another Chili Peppers song called On Mercury. You probably haven't heard it before. It's fun..
