I got in a bit of an argument with one of the 'big' bloggers at Corrente, here.
Am I completely off base?

Actually, you are so completely right it's rediculous. Who are these people?
I mean...communism ftw I guess. Everyone gets money!
I love how they try and be realist and idealist all at the same time. They talk about how it works for the Repubs, and then talk about how it should be in place because it's moral and upright.
1.How do you quantitatively measure the success of the repubs program.
2. Where is the moral precident? If people like what you do, you can start charging money for it and make a living. If not, find something else. That's Adam Smith 101. If you can't make a living, why the hell are you sacrificing yourself for writing shit on the internet?
Ya.. I know. I was blown away. I'm liberal - a mainstream liberal I would say... but what they were saying was just bizzare. Normally, they have some very good writing on the blog. I think the issue may be ego (desiring to be a "big time" blogger) and financial (wanting to eat).
What most blew me away is that they were arguing against points I didn't make. I expect that from the loons, but I guess they may be the left's loons.
Some other guy showed up and posted a very articulate version of what I was saying.
You know somebody is hardcore when presented with an obvious truth and they continually refuse to see it. There are a ton of people like that on the right.. and I knew there were some on the left like that, but didn't expect it at Corrente.

I can't say as I'm suprised though. The competition of 2 proponents of self serving ideology is the way capitalism works.

I couldn't find your argument, but I'll just assume that you're correct.

I'm flattered that you would call me eloquent.
