Video of the Day

I've been getting into "Rush" mode in anticipation of the concert next month. I'm really starting to like the new album. It's got some terrific stuff on it.

Anyway.. the video.. as I was checking out some Rush stuff on youtube, I came across this guy.. I thought I was a huge Rush nerd. Ya.. I used to sit and play the guitar parts to the songs I could figure out.. but this guy is absolutely fucking amazing. He's doing the drum parts absolutely perfectly. I picked out one of the more complex songs he does (very obscure old one), out of the 46 that's he's got on youtube. I'm not kidding. He's done 46 Rush songs.

What I don't understand is how that guy could possibly have time to sit in his basement, learning and recording himself playing 46 freakin' Rush songs instead of.. you know.. being in a world class band. That's a prime example of extreme talent that somebody needs to bring to a wider audience.

This kind of shit is what makes youtube really fucking cool.
