Is there a spoon?

A debate on the existence of God between Sam Harris and Andrew Sullivan is essentially wrapped up, here.

The issue of "God" is a big part of my mid-life crises. I expect my existence after death will be a lot like my existence prior to being born. There is a total absence of compelling evidence to the contrary. It doesn't preclude Scott Adams' "donut" theory from being possible, but is it likely? Again, the only evidence to go on is our existence prior to being born... which.. was nothing.

But, to maintain some semblance of sanity, it's probably best to go with Adams' version. All I know - and you know - is that I've "always been"... therefore it would make sense that from my point of view, I always will be. The same is true for you. The alternative is like the deepest of slumber and never waking up in the morning.

Therefore, it would probably be best to have as much fun as possible just in case we are fated to do it over and over for eternity.

The picture of the tables is an illustration Harris uses to make a point. Which table is longer?

Do I get bonus points if I tell you they're the same length?

No.. because you've already seen the illustration, or one similar.
