It's Easter weekend! Because we're all about being politically correct, it should be expanded from a celebration of Jesus rezzing himself (which is easy for shaman to do, every 40 minutes, by the way), to include all world religions and not-religions.
I got a work e-mail from my government agency manager that included a jpg showing the 3 crosses. I hit "reply all" and typed "hail Satan!".. then backspaced and typed "Hail Gorak!".. then hit cancel.
What religious people need to understand is that being not-religious is just as valid a point of view as being religious. I would argue that being non-religious is actually quite a bit more rational, and less based on believing made-up things, but for the sake of argument it should be obvious that they can be placed on equal footing. Therefore, evangelizing non-religion is just as valid as evangelizing religion and should be viewed as exactly the same type of activity.
For some reason, bat shit crazy people think they should be able to flog Jebus all day long but the rest of us who think they are insane are just supposed to keep quite lest we "belittle" their beliefs.
That basic premise is why religious people are basically insane about everything and they don't even know it.
And I just saw an interview with Bill Richardson.. who is the governor of New Mexico that is running for president. I think he'd make an excellent VP and I hope he gets selected. It's time to have a portly VP that is not pasty and evil, but rather ethnic and cute.
