Just got off a conference call. It seems the project I've been working on for ages is getting cancelled. I'm pretty sure I'll end up on another project, but it won't be the total cakewalk that I'm used to.
The odd thing is.. the project is congressionally mandated, we've been effectively working on it 4 and a half years, and the alpha is about ready. It's really strange. It's a monumental waste of money.

That about sums up the government doesn't it.
At least this time the "waste" of money went at least somewhat into your pocket, so it wasn't a total waste.

I don't get all the money the government pays for my services.. but the gross amount they paid is probably about a half million.
