My Oscar picks

... in bold;

1. Best Picture: "Babel," "The Departed," "Letters From Iwo Jima," "Little Miss Sunshine," "The Queen."
The only film I've seen is Little Miss Sunshine. The acting in it was terrific, and it was a pretty good movie. Still, it's yet more evidence that Hollywood sucks when those are the top movies of the year. The rest of the movies are in my Netflix queue, so I'll see them eventually.

2. Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio, "Blood Diamond"; Ryan Gosling, "Half Nelson"; Peter O'Toole, "Venus"; Will Smith, "The Pursuit of Happyness"; Forest Whitaker, "The Last King of Scotland."
Whenever there is a black actor that is actually a good actor, he wins.

3. Actress: Penelope Cruz, "Volver"; Judi Dench, "Notes on a Scandal"; Helen Mirren, "The Queen"; Meryl Streep, "The Devil Wears Prada"; Kate Winslet, "Little Children."
Most gay guys would know who every female star in Hollywood is.. but I'm not most. I have next to zero interest in any female actress other than Anglina Jolie.

So... lets see.. I remember the name Judi Dench in relation to Oscars.. so maybe she's already won one, so I'll rule her out. Meryl Streep is uh.. just way over done.. so no.. I've never heard of Helen Mirren, which obviously isn't saying much.. but lets see.. I'll just go with Kate Winslet because I recognize the name and she sounds like she has an "Oscar" type name.

4. Supporting Actor: Alan Arkin, "Little Miss Sunshine"; Jackie Earle Haley, "Little Children"; Djimon Hounsou, "Blood Diamond"; Eddie Murphy, "Dreamgirls"; Mark Wahlberg, "The Departed."
Never heard of him.. but he sounds ethinc, which is like a 2 billion point boost in voting..

5. Supporting Actress: Adriana Barraza, "Babel"; Cate Blanchett, "Notes on a Scandal"; Abigail Breslin, "Little Miss Sunshine"; Jennifer Hudson, "Dreamgirls"; Rinko Kikuchi, "Babel."
Good god.. who the fuck? Eenie.. meanie.. minee.. hey moe!

6. Directing: Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, "Babel"; Martin Scorsese, "The Departed"; Clint Eastwood, "Letters From Iwo Jima"; Stephen Frears, "The Queen"; Paul Greengrass, "United 93."
Remember John Stewart from last year (or year before, I foget)? "For those keeping score: Three 6 Mafia: 1; Martin Scorsese: 0."

Scorsese evens the score this year in a landslide.

18. Documentary Feature: "Deliver Us From Evil," "An Inconvenient Truth," "Iraq in Fragments," "Jesus Camp," "My Country, My Country."
Duh..

I notice Mel "Fucking Jews!" Gibson was snubbed in the important categories... no doubt by the Dirty Fucking Jews that run Hollywood.
