Greenwald has post exploring the absurdity of Dennis Hastert turning to Rush Limbaugh, of all people, to go on a moral crusade.

The thing is.. I don't really give a shit if Rush Limbaugh is a "moral degenerate". I don't give a damn who he is screwing. I don't care what the hell anybody does okay? It's just sex. It's the hypocrisy and out-right lying that pisses me off. How the fuck does Rush Limbaugh become the moral beacon of society?

Jesus fucking christ.. You know what? There are NO moral beacons of society. Not a single fucking one. Everyone has whatever sexual thoughts going through their head at any point during the day. People look at each other all day long and, at least for guys, the first thing that pops into their head is whether or not they would screw them. I'll bet it's the same for women. It might be subconscious sometimes, but I guarantee that the first impulse that goes through the brain when seeing somebody is sex. It's all about biology and the urge to procreate that drives the evolution of species. There's nothing to be ashamed of about that.

The people that call themselves "moral" are simply people who cannot get other people to go along with whatever their true "immoral" wishes are.

Example; take your ordinary married male heterosexual guy. Offer him the chance to have sex with whatever his "perfect 10" is, with no repercussions, with nobody finding out, with no strings, and 99% of the male population will do it. I'll bet the exact same is true for women. And why not? It's fun - you want to do it - enjoy.

People point their fingers at others because we are a judgmental society and enjoy hate. It's fun to shame Mark Foley, or to call him all sorts of names, and basically drive him to desperate lengths. It's all bullshit. He's a dumb mother fucker, but he's not an evil one... and now he has to spend the rest of his life with an entire nation's condemnation on him.

That scumbags like Rush Limbaugh point their finger, representing the "moral" right wing, is just adding insult to injury. Those fuckers are the truly evil ones.

This issue is only going to get more exposure, so to speak. Check out this story I just saw;

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A state senator said he is evaluating whether to continue his bid for a second term after a Charleston television station aired revealing pictures of him last week.

"My family has urged me not to withdraw from the election and I will work with them to make a decision in the immediate future," State Sen. Randy White, a Webster County Democrat, said in a letter to newspapers in his district.

An apologetic White also wrote that he was "shocked" and "horribly embarrassed" after WCHS-TV aired photos depicting him and at least two other men wearing only body paint.

"The pictures were taken approximately two years ago in private and were stolen from my personal computer," said White, 51, a married father of three. "I am not sure why they were given to the media, but I must assume for obvious political reasons."

"I am a religious person and have been for some months praying to God to help my family and me through this tragic and troubling episode in my life," the letter said.

What the fuck? Why the fuck is he apologizing? What the hell is this "praying to God" bullshit? God's not going to "fix" your sexual impulses you stupid fuck, nor do you even need fixing.

Regardless, he did nothing wrong, but in the digital age, this is going to become more and more an issue, especially for politicians. It could be something as silly as a videotape from a drunken party in college that turns up years later. It could be a spy cam in the dorm room. Digital devices get smaller and more capable, and soon everything we do will become quite plain.

The digital age will capture the essence of what we are.. secretly sexual people.. and this culture needs to get over this obsession with sexual morals.

Personally, I'd be more likely to vote for a candidate if pictures turn up showing him in nothing but body paint. It shows he's not ashamed of himself or his body, whatever it looks like. He loses my vote when he apologizes and plays the Jesus card. Stupid fuck... be who you are.
