Had chink today for lunch.. the cookie read "You will have a chance soon to make a profitable transaction." How about that.. got a bonus today and all..
Okay.. so it's a coincidence, but at least it was a fortune cookie. Most of the fortunes you get these days are actually statements that predict nothing.

I get a kick out of fortune cookies. I agree with you Tom - the statement cookie needs to go. Viva la fortune cookies!
I actually have 2 fortune cookie "fortunes" taped to my monitor:
1. "Some fortune cookies contain no fortune." For some reason I really get a kick out of this one.
2. "Work on improving your exercise routine." Unfortunately, this is probably the most true fortune cookie I've ever gotten. =(
Thought you were going to start playing rugby?
I've got several on my cube walls.
"You will bring sunshine into someone's life."
"People enjoy having you around."
My personal favorite...
"Good ideas will spring forth naturally from your mind in the coming week."
"You will find your solution where you least expect it."
"Health and happiness are coming your way."
"You'll accomplish more later if you take some time for yourself."
Steve.
I don't know what it is.. but you sound like the gay guy and I sound like the straight guy..
very odd..
Thought you were going to start playing rugby.
I did....for awhile (about 3 practices...well, 2 and a half LOL). Turns out they run a lot. Like - they don't ever stop running.
The plan now is to work myself into better cardio shape slowly (as to not keel over and die, much like the first practice) and pick it up in the spring, which is the main season anyway (there were only like 5 or 6 fall games). We'll see how that goes...
If having clever and whitty fortunes on my cube wall makes me sound gay than so be it.
Still not gay.
Steve.
LOL.. it does make sense to work your way up to something like running up and down a field..
Shit, I get winded walkin to my car in the morning, I couldn't imagine this running thing you speak of.
Steve.
You should have seen the first practice. Their freaking warmup lap was about a quarter mile. The rest of the team was halfway through stretching when I huffed and puffed my way back.
Tomorrow is the Gonzaga University Alumni Hockey game. Being an alum and an ex hockey player, i attended last years event. I swear I almost died skating with those young punks. This year I'll be watching from the crowd, and enjoying the rest of the weekends festivities, like golf... I like golf, no running. :)
Maybe one day I'll get in shape again. Just that sittin on my ass and smokin is so much easier than running or some such.
Steve.
