Required Reading

Scott Adams evaluates the Middle East "crises" and offers the most reasonable solution. Part one here, and the second part here.

If you believe that "Muslims only want to kill all of us and control the world", then you probably won't get much from reading it.

I think the plan is sound in theory, but I have a hard time advocating anything that gets us in bed with countries who take such actions.

I cant think of a single situation in which helping out presumably evil people for a better end has ever actually led to said end.

Afghanistan in the 70s. Saudi Arabia even to today. Guatamala, Columbia, Venezuala, this list goes on.

Cost/Benefit analysis I think shows that its a favorable plan, but it would be a terrible pill to swallow.

PS: Does that guy TomB post on his site a lot?
