Lord Brown Mouse said...RWG is the criminal member of the 101st fighting keyboardist brigade who simply types his "support the troops" drivel from the basement of his mother's house, instead of, you know.. actually being in the army and fighting "terraists" and freeing oppressed peoples the world over.. Oh.. and he has a bad knee or something..
It was men like RWG who defeated Hitler, and all you do is attack and demean him!

You know...it's funny, because when I argue with just you and Steve about things, I always feel like I am way to the right. But when I see shit like is on that site, holy crap do I feel like I am way to the left.
It's good to be a moderate...
Moderates are just indecisive..
I *knew* you were going to say that.
Would you pick a stance and stick to it you giant tool LBM?
What LBM said before he deleted his comment was;
You're right, RWG goes a bit far sometimes...
Which makes the "pick a stance and stick to it" point make more sense.
And yes.. he's a giant tool.. how the fuck can he even tie his shoes in the morning?
Hey - it makes me laugh the lack of a sense of humour that is present.
I know my views are very right wing.
My comment about RWG "going a bit far sometimes" was purely for comic effect. Mr Anonymous failed to pick up on that entirely and thought I was changing my argument.
The comic point was that I realise I am even more to the right than RWG.
Alas, the joke was wasted and now I have to explain it for you to understand.

Please aim to deliver a high level of debate.

1. This "joke" makes less sense than the random picture of an exploded Red Cross vehicle a certain somone posted.
2. Comic effect and sarcasm are only effective over the internet if somone is certain of your real stance. You seem to try to be some kind of referee, a banal and moronic one if so, and therefore keep your views somewhat hidden.
3. More right than RWG? Do you ever recall uttering the phrase "What are you looking at suger tits?" You may not, as you may have been extremely intoxicated.
Honestly, I dont care what your views are, just have the balls to express them, and debate them in a real format, not as some asanine moderator.
Oh.. and who is the "anonymous" poster? It's not Steve.. and it's not Z.. but referring to the ambulance picture, I'm guessing it's the paper boy..
Oh.. it is the paper boy.. I saw over at RWG's blog you posted under "Dan" - which means that Z told you about my blog after I swore him to secrecy and trusted him with my privacy here..
I'm not the least bit suprised, but it's very disapointing.
Z didnt tell me anything actually. I googled Tom Liberal Batshit crazy...not too many hits that fit that profile tbh...
Actually, I really wanted Z to tell me, but he never did. Stood firm for about 5 hrs. Finally just got home and googled it.
So, if you blame anyone, blame google.
Paper boy? How smashT are you exactly?
Oh, and privacy on a Blog? A journal of sorts you put out on the internet?
Heres a hint. If you dont want people reading it, dont post it.
Anon..
Sorry my views are too complex for you to handle. It seems that because my views do not fit into your stereotypical view of someone to the right I'm being inconsistant.
Sorry I dont hate gays, support womens rights, do not support Hitler or the KKK and can see many issues are not just black or white. I understand countries like the US and UK have done good and bad things in their pasts, but on balance their actions have benefitted the world.
If you read all of my comments, you will get a good picture of my beliefs.

Anyway, what view do you want clrification on?
LBM
So, you have now stated exactly what you dont beleive, letting us narrow down the picture (although clasicaly, supporting womens rights has been a more liberal issue).
So, you beleive that on the whole, invading Iraq has made us safer? Has made the world a better place?
My own personal beleifs are that is hasnt. However, I beleive that a complete withdrawl of our troops before a stable government is in place would be even more catastrophic than invading Iraq.
My belief on Iraq is this.
Saddam's surrender at the end of the first Gulf War was subject to him agreeing that he allow weapons inspections to allow US/West to ascertain there were no weapons of mass destruction being developed/built.
When he did not let this happen in the way he should, it gave a message to the world that the US and West could be defied with impunity - a dangerous message.
My view is that Saddam had to pay.
My preferred option would have been killing him or the leaders of Iraq and the government institutions with bombing. You could bomb Iraq and Bagdad into submission, or at least until someone over threw him and took his place.
Instead we took the option of invasion - not my ideal choice - but much better than letting him defy us scott free.
Blair & Bush sold the invasion on the fact there were WMD in Iraq & also bolted on bringing democracy to the Iraqi people as a secondary validation.
They should have sold the invasion on the fact he defied the US & West's surrender terms to which Saddam agreed.
Thats my view.
Now we are there, it is important that we are seen to stay until we choose to leave. And having sold the democracy card as a reason for the invasion, it is important we leave a democratic government in place if possible. Th sooner we hand over to the Iraqi government the better.
And in my view, Saddam's loss of power is a good message to all dictators around the world.
You see, I agreed with Saddams over throw, but for different reasons than most & would have preferred it done in a differnt way.
LBM
Tom - I sent you a message on the TDA forums, but basically:
1. I never told Dan the web address or name of the blog.
2. He already knew that you had a blog (which is common knowledge). He also found out your name on his own, because I didn't tell him even when he asked.
3. I DID mention in conversation that Steve found the site through Google, which may have led to Dan trying to Google it since he knew it could be done.
Sooo, I guess if you consider #3 to be a violation of your privacy then I am guilty and I apologize.
which means that Z told you about my blog after I swore him to secrecy and trusted him with my privacy here..
I'm not the least bit suprised, but it's very disapointing.
And wtf is that supposed to mean anyway?
It means that it's been my experience that most people cannot keep a trust. It really doesn't have anything to do with you specifically, just that it's human nature for people to talk.. and that I've noticed that they do.. a lot. They might not give up the whole story, but enough to allow somebody to piece together the rest - thus absolving them of any responsibility.
I'm as guilty of it as anybody.. I never should have mentioned that I write a blog to anybody in the guild unless I expected everyone to know... which is how it will turn out. Not that very many of them will give a shit that I rant on a blog anyway.. but the mere fact that I would tell 1 person would lead to the inevitable, regardless of it being intentional or not.
Vanity caused me to tell 1 person, which is how all things that are annoymous eventually become exposed.
It really doesn't matter. What I write is mine, and if anything, people who have read me from the begining know that I really don't give a shit what people think. It's just that sometimes, discretion is the better part of valor..
Actually, Steve mention on the guild site he found it through google. Dont remember the name, but it ended with Tom saying "Nothing to see here, move along."
I finally just wanted to know enough to google it.
So really, Z had nothing to do with revealing this at all.
I simply wanted to see Tom unleashed, and see Z agree with you...and you with him.
For what it's worth, I think that's true.. but at the time when all of a sudden somebody else starts making comments and they happen to be the RL buddy of somebody I had clued in - it seemed obvious.
It doesn't really matter in any case... I would prefer that you not tell anybody else the URL, as nobody else seems interested enough to find it on the 9th page of a google search, and there's personal things on here that I'd rather not become an issue over there.
Then again, the cat is out of the bag, and I was the one that let it out. Human nature takes care of the rest.
