Judy the tool

So Judy Miller wrote her little propaganda piece in the Times this weekend. How amusing. I'm not in the mood to comment on the content of the article, other than to say that it's self serving and she just doesn't get what a piece of shit human being she is.

What left wing media, eh?

Here's how it works. Bush administration officials want to spread lies and innuendo about any particular policy, and in this case it's about justifications for a war that will ultimately result in the death of many thousands of people. Serious stuff, right?

So, they call up a Judy Miller type at the Times and they say "I have some good info for you but you cannot name me. Just call me 'Senior Whitehouse Staff'."

Seriously - that's how Scooter Libby (Cheney's chief of staff) and other scumbags push out their lies.

From Miller's article:

Libby had persuaded the reporter to refer to him for a prospective story as a "former Hill staffer," a switch from their earlier understanding that Libby should be referred to as a senior administration official.

"I agreed to the new ground rules because I knew that Mr. Libby had once worked on Capitol Hill," Miller said. "I assumed Mr. Libby did not want the White House to be seen as attacking Mr. Wilson."
Libby is essentially saying "I'm about to lie to you, so don't use my name", and because Miller only cares about herself and her career, she goes along with it because she will blow a donkey for access to White House staff.

In essence, you have one scumbag, Libby, lying to another scumbag, Miller, and it all ends up on the front pages of the New York Times in order to convince the American public that lies are truth.

That is exactly how we end up in a war where the justifications turned out to complete and unmitigated lies.

Miller went even further by continually pushing the administrations lies that Iraq was pursuing WMD's. Why did she do it? She was on her knees blowing any dick in front of her in order to get on the front page of the Times, and the editors of the Times HAD to know it. Who could be that stupid after all?

And after all is said and done, Miller still doesn't get it. She doesn't get that she is complicit in the deaths of nearly 2000 Americans and untold numbers of innocent Iraqis. She only cares about herself and her career, and going to jail to look like some sort of journalistic martyr.

This is what our media has become. It's no longer Walter Cronkite’s media. Today, our media will felate war mongers to sell ratings. Look what happened to all the left wing leaning media personalities at the time. They lost their jobs. Look at what happened to Phil Donahue. Now you may disagree with his very left leaning points of view, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about FIRING those with opposing points of view and a valid forum to say what they think.

That is completely un-American. You do not fire people because they are opposed to a war. You listen to them and consider their viewpoint. Did the American public learn absolutely nothing from Vietnam?

In the new media, you get FIRED for speaking if it doesn't adhere to the "support the troops" bullshit. Well, you know what? Phil Donahue did support the troops because he didn't want them to get fucking killed over lies.

And guess what? Joe Wilson turned out to be correct! So who should be in jail? As has been pointed out in many various places, you remember the penalty for blowing the cover of a clandestine spy during a war? It involved a blindfold and a last cigarette at one point in our history.

There were no weapons of mass destruction. There were no links to 9/11. There was no "imminent threat". As we all know now, all of the justifications turned out to be lies, and now the war is billed as "freeance and democracy for the Iraqis".

Fuck that. The American revolution was started by? Americans for fuck sake, and the Iraqis had the obligation to revolt. That's why it's called a revolution.

God this makes me angry.

And what of all the people who sucked the government phallus in order to get their story and convince Americans that we needed to blow up Iraq? Do they apologize? Do they resign in disgrace? Hell no. They are the most selfish of human beings, because the issue was never about war. It was about careers and money - period.

And the last point I will make about this...

Some people need to look in the mirror and ask themselves what kind of human being they are. At the end of the day, or at the end of a life, how much money you made is meaningless. How "famous" you were in your career means nothing.

Personally, I could not live with myself if I exploited death and destruction for my own career goals, much less refuse to acknowledge and atone for it afterward.

Want to see the kind of people I'm talking about? Watch Faranheit 9/11, and you'll see a "convention" held prior to the war, and listen to the speakers virtually drooling when talking about how much money can be made.

Just think about all the Halliburton executives, who might actually, one day, suddenly wake up and realize that they made their personal fortunes on the blood of other human beings.

That's what the Judy Miller types enabled - the most vile of human behavior; profiting from death and destruction.

Now THAT'S the American way..
