No, really - I am!.. just had a thought while reading this post, which ponders why some people long for the "morals" of the 13th century.
Seriously - typical conservatives, which I label bat-shit crazy, who I think are bat-shit crazy because they don't get enough quality sex, like to blame the current cultural morals (or lack there of) for all of societies problems.
You know, like, why aren't we behaving in the same manner as the myth of the 1950's, where every family was nuclear, white, heterosexual, married-for-life, with a handful of kids, who grew up and went to college and became successful hetero-sexual parents themselves, in order to further the myth of the 1950's for all eternity?
You know.. I really love my run-on sentences sometimes.
Anyway, I thought.. ummm.. I'm supposed to be "liberal", yet I don't believe it is the responsibility of the culture and society around me to make me a "moral" person. Why do the "conservatives" believe that every human being is too weak to be moral on their own, unless the culture around them is moral?
A true conservative would say that the onus for being a good human being is on that human being himself, or herself if I need to be politically correct. But, because that is not how conservatives think, they then allow an immoral person (think DeLay, or Rove) to blame the world around them for what they have become.
Now - isn't that just stupid?
I just don't see how conservatives can have that fried of a logic ability. It makes no sense how they can be so contradictory in how they expect people to be responsible members of society.
No, they don't want there to be publicly funded welfare. A person should not rely on that, and should work like the rest of us..
Yet - they want publicly funded moral programs, to keep those wicked and obscene kids from fucking each other.
Morals are what a person believes in, and their character is what determines what kind of person they are. It's too bad conservatives don't believe in those values. The only true values they believe in is the value of gaining power over another human being.
And why? The 3 simple words that rule the world. You've seen them before here. Power, wealth, sex.
They want to tell you who you can fuck and when, how much money you can make, and they want to be able to fuck you whenever they feel like it.

As soon as I took off word verification and allowed annoymous posting, the spam came back. I'm going to try it with allowing annoymous posting, but word verification is required. I think that will do the trick, and the people who don't want to register can still post a comment if they want.
