Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job!

On Aug. 31, Bahamonde e-mailed Brown to tell him that thousands of evacuees were gathering in the streets with no food or water and that "estimates are many will die within hours."

"Sir, I know that you know the situation is past critical," Bahamonde wrote. "The sooner we can get the medical patients out, the sooner we can get them out."

A short time later, Brown's press secretary, Sharon Worthy, wrote colleagues to complain that the FEMA director needed more time to eat dinner at a Baton Rouge restaurant that evening. "He needs much more that (sic) 20 or 30 minutes," Worthy wrote.

"Restaurants are getting busy," she said. "We now have traffic to encounter to go to and from a location of his choise (sic), followed by wait service from the restaurant staff, eating, etc. Thank you."

A few points I want to make on this;

First, that sort of attitude is pervasive. Shit-for-brains like Brown always have, and always will, get the world thrown at his feet. Sure, he resigned in disgrace, but he will get another job, and he will have a ton of money, and he will be smug and self-congratulatory.

Meanwhile, all us every day working slobs just toil in anonymity and relative poverty. So, this is another one of those day's that I just remind myself that I'm not some poor sod Iraqi who got blown up by an errant US bomb.

It's a good day.

But it still burns me that the Browns of the world never -really- get what they deserve.

Okay.. well, Bernard Ebbers did.. but he was flagrantly an asshole.

The other point I would make, is that there is really class warfare going on in the United States. The poor just aren't fighting it. So we have poor black people drowning, or dehydrating, or otherwise in a shit-storm, but the FEMA director needs to get some fucking lunch so shut the fuck up about your whining already!

God damn.. LOL

And, of course, the last point I would make goes back to my post from a couple days ago. Brown's "press secretary", who you would think needs to be sharp, mangles spelling and grammar in the email. She can't even hit the spell checker before sending?
