Asshat Quote of the Day

"WHAT DIDN'T GO RIGHT?": The president is still out of it. I must say that the Katrina response does help me better understand the situation in Iraq. The best bet is that the president doesn't actually know what's happening there, is cocooned from reality, has no one in his high-level staff able to tell him what's actually happening, and has created a culture of denial and loyalty that makes fixing mistakes or holding people accountable all but impossible. - Andrew Sullivan
That's funny to me. Sully says something like that, as if he's discovered some new and interesting interpretation of the workings of the simian mind.

I'm just a dumb shit geek, and it was painfully apparent to me a few years ago. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what the hell is going on. It's just shocking to me that otherwise smart people are just now starting to figure that out.

Again, watch the beginning of Fahrenheit 9/11, particularly for the video of Bush reading My Pet Goat. You have to be a complete and total imbecile not to see all of this disaster is the essence of what Bush is. He ran business after business into the ground. He never cared about anything but himself and money. He never had the intellect to form a coherent thought. He was massively addicted to cocaine and alcohol.

And you watch those minutes tick by on 9/11 and you should see everything you need to know. It is obvious now that there are people who can watch it, Sullivan for instance, and not see what is painfully obvious to the rest of us.

But then, Sully will come along and say "I still support" blah blah blah.. "complete the mission" blah blah blah....

He's just a maddening fucktard to me for some reason...
