Bored

So politics is getting boring to write about. I've been doing it for about 8 months, and it's the same ol' shit all the time. Chimpy sucks and the religious nut jobs are trying to force us to conform to their made up bullshit. Tell me something I don't know..

What else to write? I like writing, but things that I'm "expert" in are not interesting to read. I've always been pretty good at taking things and making them better, so the whole "read a news story and rant about it" idea was pretty easy for me to do on the blog. If I try and create something completely from scratch, I'd just stare at this white box for a long time.

I could try writing a novel and post chapters as I go along.... I could try writing porn stories.. LOL I could turn this into a diary and just write about what I'm thinking about and what I'm doing. I could say that I'm a bit worn out from this and just take a break for a while. Hmmmm..

Take a break then but don't give up. Voices of reason and rant are needed to get this country back on the right track, and you fit into both of those categories.

Tom if you have the time go see "The great raid" .It would give you a little insight on how I spent my youth.I'm aware of the shortcomings of our leadership now and its up to you and your generation to support people of integrity and character to elected offices. The old dog has spoken.

I was planning to see the great raid soon. Maybe this weekend.

One of the problems our society has is the insistence in joining unrelated events. Iraq is not WWII, despite George Bush using the word "Normandy" over and over lately.

My generation is a weird one in that we really have no "war" to relate to. I was born during Vietnam, and I'm in my late 30's during Iraq. Does Gulf War 1 count? I don't think so, wars have to last more than a few weeks.

So, I suppose that in the history of this country, there are very few generations that grew up, and became middle aged, without a war going on. I guess I just lucked out.

The world is not quite so black and white anymore. George Bush, and pretty much all the Republicans, do a huge disservice in trying to equate Iraq and WWII. They are not nearly the same.

I hear ya. During my monthlong move it seemed to me that I had lost some of my passion for sharing and pointing out the utter bullshit that is thrust upon us by the current administration and their apologists.

As I slowly found my way back to the blog I found my interest beginning to soar again. Now I'm back full force and I'm probably posting as much or more than ever.

My point is that maybe it's time for a sabbatical of sorts. Take a few days off. Don't expose yourself to anything political for a while. Recharge your batteries. It'll do wonders for you.

Just an added thought to "Old Dog which you might not know. When you go to see "The Great Raid" keep in mind that "Old Dog" was there!
