Terrorists

If you've ever wondered where they come from, they are made and not born.

By the way, the FBI released reports of other, much more widespread, accusations of abuse of the Koran at Gitmo. It's really not a big surprise, is it?

Then, our freeper friends, like our little Oxen, would say "They do it too!". In fact, he posted a story about the bible being shredded in Saudi Arabia, as if that has anything to do with what the United States does.

Lets be clear, shall we? Those that excuse religious abuse, those that excuse torture, those that excuse murder, are no better than the scum that we fight.

If you hold the United States to the same standard as those we fight - you're a complete jackass. The United States has core principals that we all live by. We have moral authority only because of our principals. The right wing has flushed that all down the toilet because they want the United States to lower itself to the same level as those we fight.

Is torturing and killing a few Muslims worth the destruction of what America - used - to stand for? Hell no..

Then - go and lie about the whole thing. Newsweek has been vindicated, as we all knew they would, and then the President's lap dog lies about it.

At a White House press briefing Monday, Press Secretary Scott McClellan, pressed by reporters and with Afghan President Karzai in disagreement, retreated on claims that Newsweek's retracted story on Koran abuse cost lives in Afghanistan.

He also claimed that he had never said it did, even though a check of transcripts disputes that. On May 16, for example, he said, "people have lost their lives." On May 17, he said, "People did lose their lives," and, "People lost their lives" due to the Newsweek report.
Oh.. ya.. Scottie is the shining beacon of moral leadership..

White House press secretary Scott McClellan said: "The allegations are ridiculous and unsupported by the facts. The United States is leading the way when it comes to protecting human rights and promoting human dignity."
