Evil

While we're on the subject of evil - I find this disturbing.

Vice President Dick Cheney helped raise an estimated $200,000 Monday for the campaign of Republican Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, who is considered one of the most vulnerable incumbents in Congress.

Musgrave, one of the original sponsors of a proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, has proved "to be exactly the right person for the job," Cheney told a crowd about 200 people who paid $500 to $4,000 to attend the luncheon in downtown Denver.

Marilyn Musgrave despises gay people, and she's not shy about telling everyone she hates gay people.

Of course, Dick Cheney has a lesbian daughter, and he supports Musgrave anyway. How that is possible is beyond me. There are certain times when you absolutely have to stand up and be counted. Dick Cheney proves to be the lowest form of human by these actions. He chooses politics over the dignity of his own daughter. He does it time and again.

And Mary Cheney participates. She continues to live as a political leper in her own life.

I've known some people who have stood up for themselves. I had many friends die in the late 80's and early 90's. They lived and died with more dignity than Dick or Mary Cheney will ever know.
