Credit where it's due

One thing I forgot to mention in the post below with the picture of Barney Frank coping a feel.. is that I blatantly stole the picture from our favorite freeper, Oxen's blog. He was very indignant that the media was not widely reporting the outrage of Frank touching an ass.

Then I read his tirade over (married) Congressman Sherword (republican) choking his 29 year old "girlfriend".

Then he went on a blistering assault on Mayor Jim West, staunch "family values" conservative who has a habit of picking up 18 year old boys, and is now under investigation by the F.B.I.

Oh wait.. I'm sorry... I was looking at the wrong blog. Oxen didn't mention anything about the sordid sex lives of prominent Republicans.. only Barney Frank patting an ass...

Then I noticed another thing.. There is zero discussion on his blog after he edited my comments there, and I quit visiting. You can watch the tumbleweeds roll by. I felt bad so I left him a little love letter, and unfortunately he simply deleted it.. There's no love...

Of course he's still screeching about the dumbest things.. but I was amazed that he has gone and joined the Marine Corp. Apparently he read this Washington Post story about an entire Marine squad basically wiped out in Iraq. It would seem that he was so moved by the story, and realizes that military recruitment is WAY down that he felt it was his patriotic duty as an American, Bush supporter, and pro-military guy that he go reinforce the troops in Iraq. Obviously he's prepared to die for the Iraqi people's freedom. How noble!

Among the four Marines killed and 10 wounded when an explosive device erupted under their Amtrac on Wednesday were the last battle-ready members of a squad that four days earlier had battled foreign fighters holed up in a house in the town of Ubaydi. In that fight, two squad members were killed and five were wounded.

In 96 hours of fighting and ambushes in far western Iraq, the squad had ceased to be.

Every member of the squad -- one of three that make up the 1st Platoon of Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Regiment -- had been killed or wounded, Marines here said. All told, the 1st Platoon -- which Hurley commands -- had sustained 60 percent casualties, demolishing it as a fighting force.

Oh wait.. I'm sorry.. I misread that. He's still a draftsman and coward. He hasn't joined the military, but he's getting really good at posting pictures of soldiers holding injured and dead Iraqi children. He's really making a contribution to our nation by furiously typing away on his blog and we all know how much good rooting for the troops does. I heard he even put one of those yellow stickers on the bumper of his chevy.

After all, just like his roll models, Oxen is a "thinker" and it's better to send minorities and the poor off to die for us, right? I mean, it must be the same for Oxen right? Tom Delay said that those damn brown people kept him out of the glorious battle in Vietnam..

Isn't it great that Iraq had elections? Things are so much better there.. It's not a civil war, it's FREEDOME ON THE MARCH!

Oh wait.. I'm sorry.. it IS a civil war.. silly me...

With security experts reporting that no major road in the country was safe to travel, some Iraq specialists speculated that the Sunni insurgency was effectively encircling the capital and trying to cut it off from the north, south and west, where there are entrenched Sunni communities. East of Baghdad is a mostly unpopulated desert bordering on Iran.

"It's just political rhetoric to say we are not in a civil war. We've been in a civil war for a long time," said Pat Lang, the former top Middle East intelligence official at the Pentagon.

Oh.. and that shinning light of democracy and courage, John Boltan, who himself said "I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy", and must be Oxen's roll model, gets his confirmation vote. Woohoo..

Oxen is particularly idiotic, but is just typical of the rabid and angry cowards on the right. They are staying out of the war in droves. The hypocrisy and cowardice of Republicans is stunning, Oxen included.

Is there a single thing that Bush has said about Iraq that's been true?
