I doubt he has a security clearance, but if he does that is a very big deal.
As part of my job I had to get one. The process is extremely rigorous. The paperwork takes forever, and it's not like a job application or resume where you can fudge a bit and hope nobody really checks it out. They check everything out and then some. In fact, your application is given to an FBI agent who's sole purpose in life is to catch you lying.
If JimmyJeff has one - somebody had to have arranged it. There's a very large story there that is begging to be investigated. For some reason, the media seems a bit reluctant.
