Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy?

Conspiracy?

This is truly amusing. We have a new book "exposing" the left-wing conspiracy! I'm truly embarrassed. Our conspiracy needs to do better than that. Michael Moore, and Al Franken as prime movers in our conspiracy? Gah...

All I have to say about this book is DUH. Democrats are doing a better job of organizing and getting their message out. The right has had a stranglehold on talk radio, and now the left is starting to make inroads with Air America Radio. We have 527's and PAC's and billionaire supporters, etc.

Is the book author saying that the right should have the "Swift boat Veterans for -Truth-", but the left shouldn't have Moveon.org?

In other words, the left is starting to catch up to the right in developing their "conspiracy". We need to do better and better. The right has rallied around religious fundamentalism (BSC's). The left needs to rally around liberalism. I'm not talking -chain yourself to a tree- liberal, I'm talking about classic liberal causes like equality, and liberty.

Obviously the book title is a riff on Hillary's "vast right-wing conspiracy" comment. Of course, Hillary was absolutely correct. Watch a documentary called The Hunting of the President. It documents the 70 million dollar (tax dollars) effort to bring down President Clinton - which resulted in? Absolutely nothing. It was a complete waste of money, completely unsubstantiated, and completely useless.

The vast left wing conspiracy is not about using those kind of slime bag tactics. Our conspiracy is to get the facts and message out there, get voters to the polling booths, and win elections.

As a complete aside - a recent FOIA document from the FBI proves that some Saudis WERE flown out of the US prior to being questioned, and prior to the restoration of commercial air flight nationwide. Thus - Michael Moore was right about that.

Damn.. I wish my name was on the cover of that book too. I should have become involved in politics in my early 20's, but back then the right wasn't quite so extreme. I really wasn't all that interested in it then.

** edit **

I like the "tried to bring down a President - and why they'll try even harder next time." sub-title.

Ummmm.... next time Chimpy won't be running, so we won't be trying to bring down a President. That is, unless they decide to change the Constitution or something. What a dumbass.. LOL

Don't think that changing the Constitution in that regard is not an option for them, my friend. It could be exactly where we're headed, if the Repukes don't screw things up for themselves too badly before that time.
