Censorship

Some of you may have been aware of my running argument with Oxen the freeper over at his blog. He decided to "edit my comments", which is something you just don't do.

The issue related to "sodomy", which has been a contentious legal concept in rulings from the Supreme Court last summer. Of course Oxen is too stupid to even know what sodomy is, but he knows it's "icky" and therefore he thought the discussion was getting out of hand and he edited my comments. Which is pretty typical of your bat-shit-crazy types.

If you look at the ruling in Lawrence vs. Texas, the word "sodomy" appears a large number of times. The SC was ruling on the issue of the state being involved in sexual matters engaged in private by two consenting adults.

Grown up people can talk about those issues, and talk about the legal implications of what the ruling means, and how that may affect other areas of law. Oxen gets all "icky" and starts deleting discussion points because - he's just another run of the mill freak, who is intellectually bankrupt.

He's really good at posting what other's have written. He can't make his own argument and he can't have a discussion dealing with an issue THAT THE SUPREME COURT RULED ON (you stupid fuck).

These are the people we're fighting. These are the people that don't want to know anything about the realities of the world. These are the people that want to burn books, and control what you can do and what you can say. They do not believe in liberty. They believe in fascism, disguised as religious "morals".

And when they don't like the way the discussion is going; when they don't like to talk about "icky" topics; when they don't like having their "Ozzie and Harriet" world implode on them; they start "deleting" things - like your God given right to say what's on your mind.

They hate ideas. They hate independent thought. They hate other points of view. They hate other religions. They hate other races. They hate other sexual orientations. They simply are the ugliest of hate filled human beings.

So Oxen - you can go fuck yourself now. But take my thanks for giving me a better insight into how people of dull/normal intelligence think. I have The Oxen to use as I see fit now as a shining example of the worst in America. You have completely lived up to the right wing fascist in every way.

Now - would you please grow some balls, sign up for the military, go try and kill some Muslims, with the hopeful result that your holy war will destroy all you crazy fuckers.

But you won't. You are a bigger coward than the man pulling the trigger in the video you linked to. At least he was fighting for what he believed, as misguided as any of us think it is. You simply type your vile hatred behind a veil of anonymity.

You are pathetic.

Well said.

I've been trying to think of a way to have productive discussions with these folks and I keep coming up with nothing. They refuse to be reasonable, let alone frame intelligent arguments. It's infuriating how they twist and distort everything (including their own "beliefs") yet claim to have a coherent message. Worse yet, they keep bleating the same old tired propaganda as if repeating it enough times will suddenly make it true.

Thanks for making the time to take on these crazies. I enjoy your blog.

I've always thought that if I engaged a person in thoughtful and reasoned conversation, I could affect their point of view.

Clearly there are types of people who will not budge on their "world is flat" viewpoint regardless if you sail them completely around the world. They simply refuse to challenge their own belief system.

That was part of the problem with Oxen. I saw just a shade of reasonableness a couple of times, and thought I could show him the world was round.

Then when he started editing my thoughts, I knew all was lost. His moral craziness is more important to him than a dialog on a sensitive topic. He cannot be "grown up" in the sense that he is, in effect, censoring what he himself reads.

I know I'm not responsible for the craziness of others, but it's always been my desire for people to be happy and free...

Happy and free is not a concept conservative/republican/christian freaks understand.
