Activists!

WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court gave bankrupt Americans another layer of financial protection Monday, ruling that creditors cannot seize their Individual Retirement Accounts.
Oh MY GOD! Those runaway judges and their liberal activist agenda, they are at it again! They answer to no-one (nope not credit card companies) ! Where is John Cornyn to call for violence against the Supremos for their reckless disregard for the will of the people?!

Oh wait.. that ruling helps the little guy from the undue burden of being unfairly taxed for early withdrawal and robbed blind of pension money. That was a good decision!

But wait - Congressional Republicans are ramming through bankruptcy legislation that will remove homestead exemptions and let credit card companies take your house. Congressional Republicans want to make sure you lose everything if you have to file bankruptcy!

Guess which branch of the government the big banks and credit card companies lobby? Guess which has their election campaigns bankrolled? Guess which gets wined and dined?

Yes, that is why the judiciary is insulated.

Republican's in Congress? They are scum sucking whores who don't give a shit about average people. They just want that big business money, and their lucrative consulting contracts when they finally get booted out of office.

** Update **

From Americablog:

Embattled Congressman Tom DeLay and conservative Senators Sam Brownback and Tom Coburn are scheduled to speak this week at a conference in Washington, DC that blasts "unbridled" judges as posing a "mortal danger", apparently to those who have the misfortunte of appearing in their courtroom.

On the conference's Web site, its organizer calls the Republican Baptist-faithed judge in the Terri Schiavo case "an activist Florida judge who, in effect, passed a death sentence on Terri Schiavo." The site criticizes "liberal judges" who "defy the will of the people" in order to "force their radical theories on the nation," and it also notes that these judges have apparently declared "war."
What I find most amusing is that the majority of the recent "activist" decisions were issued by Christian Republican judges, who are now - apparently - liberal activists, and who John Cornyn wants marked for death (or something like that).

I know I sometimes repeat myself - but I don't care, it's fun. I just want to state, again for the record, that if you're one of those people who think there is such a thing as "activist judges", I suggest treatment. You know, there are organizations that specialize in de-programming people who were consumed by religious cults. Your depth of psychosis is stunning - and has reached the point that you are incapable of self-criticism.

Honest to God, get some help. Get some friends (none named Cleatus). Find somebody to have sex with, and travel a bit (outside the US). Get rid of the Chevy 4x4 and buy a sports car (and drive it fast). Stop watching NASCAR and go to a baseball game and have a couple of beers and hotdogs.

After you've done all of that, think about what you need the nutty Christian freak show for. Think about all the hatred they espouse. Think about how much better it would be to hang out with friends, get silly buzzed at a game, and get laid.

Trust me - it's a lot better.
