A Bit of Truth

Axelrod was just on my teevee, claiming that the health insurance companies are very upset with the proposed health care reform bill.

Greenwald provides a handy link to their stock prices. It's no surprise they spiked hard yesterday.

If you wager on the stock market that the Democrats will lose on some issue, you'll make money.. time after time after time. Even with the spike, I think it's a good time to buy a bunch of stock in the industry. That'll help you not care that the bill sucks.

....

Reminder.. 30 Democrats voted "no" on the drug importation bill.

People need to know they can direct order generic meds for pennies on the dollar from the Indians. Even if you have great insurance, maintenance meds may costs less than your co-pays.

There really isn't much difference between Democrats and Republicans on economic issues. The Democrats are usually good about social issues, such as Teh Gay, because that doesn't have anything to do with money. There is no potential for any of them to be paid off.

The whole "net roots" thing is still a rather new force in Democratic politics. We've won a few battles and lost some. We thought getting Obama elected was a win. Eh.. not so much. However, the paradigm of a corrupt government can be destroyed by destroying the political careers of the corrupt.

In other words, more booting Liebermans, more electing Frankens. It can be done. Just not sure I'll help. As it stands, I want the money I gave Obama back. I bought a defective product.
