Drooling Tirades

Funny. The Dougmeister graced me with a few comment approvals, as opposed to (omgz you're such a bitch) deletion. I love the giant wall of text that Doug always uses.

This comment, in particular, is awesome. In it, he completely makes up factual assertions about Medicare, and then creates straw man arguments of positions that nobody holds, i.e., physicians working for the government.

I keep trying to goad him into inviting me onto his "radio program" to debate health care, because I have.. you know.. worked in the industry for 20 years, and he's a complete idiot and I think it would be funny as fuck to completely befuddle him and destroy him in front of the Loon Brigade, but you know.. he'll never agree to that.

At Doug's core is a general cowardice. Everything that he views as important in this world, he observes as a spectator, and not a participant. That is a true hallmark of a coward.. less than a real man.

Courts began their downward spiral with Marbury v. Madison in 1803. Assumptions on Single Payer are based on real examples in history. Medicare has been a joke, and is broke, and the Medicare Expansion plan has done better than the rest of the plan because it uses "choice" and the Democrats wish to get rid of that portion, the only part of Medicare that isn't a complete failure. Single Payer tries to reduce price while doing nothing with cost. Cost will go up with government controls, with will force prices up, which will put the government in position to drastically raise taxes to cover it. Besides, if government takes control of health care, our choices go bye-bye, and then when the system begins to tank, you will have no choice but suffer with it. As for "suing" because it sucks, yes, yes, you are playing pins and needles - I used sucks as a general term. If malpractice, for example, becomes an issue, and the doctors become federal employees, what do you do? If the government loses your records, what do you do? What recourse do you have? Complain to the government? What good is that when they are the problem?

As for Doug's interpretation of Constitutional issues.. it works like this.

Doug, despite his claim of a 172 IQ, is a fairly dim bulb. He's never accomplished anything, and has no education, nor any particular expertise. He latches on to somebody who he philosophically agrees with, and adopts their point of view and reads very narrowly scoped arguments about a particular topic. In this case, Constitutional law. Once he thinks he's read enough, he starts writing things as if what he asserts is actually true... despite, of course, that he has no real training or expertise in the topic. After all, Doug disdains formal training and any sort of recognition of accomplishment.

In other words, because Doug was told what to read, has read it, he then thinks he is more of an expert than the people who have dedicated their entire lives to the topic, and who have trained and have been awarded degrees and certifications.

This is why Doug despises higher education.. which, of course, is a natural result of him being kicked out of university, which is a very hard thing to actually do.

He's not only got this twisted view of the way that Liberals view sound economic and social policy, he also thinks one of our 3 branches of Federal government is completely subverting the United States Constitution.

And again, I highlight Doug because he is the proto-typical Loon Brigade. He is what constitutes main-stream conservative thought.. such as it is. It's this nearly psychotic delusion of persecution that perfectly dove-tails into christianity and the persecution of his religion.

Truth be told. He is being persecuted.. by me, and an army of people like me. We're not particularly fond of people who are delusional and think that our form of government is traitorous. We happen to like what the United States stands for. We like, and respect the value of education and intellectualism. We like the separation of powers.

What we don't like are crazy freaks who think that mankind dates back about 6,000 years running the fucking program. Okay?

They're patently insane. Doug is certifiably insane. And he is smack dab in the middle of modern conservative ideology.
