So the nation came to a stand-still today because there was a possibility that a 6 year old boy accidentally took flight in a helium balloon, only to be found later hiding in the attic of his house.
I'd imagine there are hundreds (at least) of horror stories of bad things happening to all sorts of people in this country every day.. kids or otherwise.
It's weird how the media goes ape-shit over these types of things. It's like they employ staff whose job it is to fly into action at the moment of something unusual happening. In this case, it involves the novel idea of a 6 year old falling out of the sky.
Apparently there were no pretty young white girls gone missing today.
/update
Seems the police are investigating this as a "filing a false report".
I'm shocked!
When the media behaves the way they have.. and the American population glorifies train wreck personalities, this is what happens. It's a reflection of the vapidity of American pop culture.
So another person got their 15 minutes.. Getting busted faking the cause of the 15 minutes will only result in getting another 15 minutes.
