Some guy put together statistics and graphs which demonstrate just how fucked up shit is. I came across that while trying to figure out what the "Wall Street" protesters were protesting.
The lame-stream librul media likely won't bother to mention anything related to the reality of the situation, but rather just that the protesters are confused unwashed hippies.
....
And to re-emphasize the fundamental philosophy of this blog.. is that you can sorta control which side of this divide you fall on. The odds of you ending up in the top 1% are pretty much null, but you certainly could get into the top 10%, a group which does benefit from our economic system rather than being enslaved by it.

I was actually looking for that article a few days ago. I thought that Krugman had linked to it but couldn't find the right article.
One thing that Loons like Doug love to do is find some inarticulate protester and prop them up as a typical example of the broader group. It makes arguing against that view easier.
Of course, I'm guilty of doing that also as I use Doug as a typical example of ultra-religious right wing loonery. It's easy to win an argument with somebody when they're straight out insane.
